Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use canadianenglishtest.org ("the service"). By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Questions: hello@canadianenglishtest.org.

2. What the service is — and isn't

• An independent practice site for the CELPIP-General test and a set of Express Entry score tools. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Paragon Testing Enterprises, Prometric, IRCC or the Government of Canada.
• AI scores are practice estimates, shown as ranges. They are not official CELPIP scores and cannot be used for any application.
• Calculators are estimates based on IRCC's published criteria. They are not legal or immigration advice; your official CRS score is the one in your Express Entry profile.

3. Accounts

Use an email address you control and keep your password private. The free sign-up allowance is for one person; creating extra accounts to collect it again is not allowed. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service.

4. Free AI scores

• 1 AI score without signing up, once per browser, for speaking.
• 10 AI scores after you verify your email, valid for 30 days, once per email address.
• Timed practice, prompts, sample answers and calculators are free without limits on how often you use them.

We may pause free AI scoring temporarily if free usage exceeds our daily or monthly budget; paid plans are not affected.

5. Paid plans

• Plans are one-time purchases. Nothing renews and no card is kept for later charges.
• Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Approximate amounts in other currencies are for reference only; your bank sets the final amount and may add fees. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
• Each plan gives a number of AI scores that are valid for the period shown (7 days, 30 days or 12 months). Scores from different purchases add up; the ones that expire first are used first. Unused scores expire at the end of their period.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, which may act as the merchant of record and show its name on your statement.

6. Refunds

• 7-day refund: a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have used 20 AI scores or fewer from that purchase (Top-up 60: 10 or fewer). Once per customer in any 12 months.
• Failed evaluations: if an AI evaluation fails, times out or is refused, the score is returned automatically.
• Outages: if AI scoring is unavailable for more than 24 hours in a row, we extend the affected pass by the length of the outage plus one day.
• Rescheduled exam: ask before your pass ends and we will extend it once, by up to 14 days.
• After 7 days, unused scores are not refunded in cash.
• We do not give refunds based on official CELPIP results, and we never guarantee a score.

To ask for a refund or extension, email hello@canadianenglishtest.org from your account's email address. We reply within 2 business days. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — it is usually faster.

7. Fair use

To keep the service available for everyone: up to 60 AI scores per day on a paid plan, up to 10 per day on free scores, up to 6 submissions per 10 minutes, and one answer scored at a time. Plans are for one person. Automated or scripted use, reselling access and attempts to get around limits are not allowed.

8. What you submit

Submit your own answers. Keep them family-friendly and lawful. We may decline to score content that is sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise inappropriate; declined evaluations are not charged. Recordings must not include other people without their permission.

9. Your content

Your transcripts and essays remain yours. You allow us to process them only to provide the service (scoring, reports and support). We do not use them to train AI models. We will use an answer for calibration only if you separately opt in. See our privacy policy for details on recordings, which are not stored.

10. Our content

The practice prompts, sample answers, explanations, design and code on this site are ours or used with permission. You may use them for your own study. Please don't copy them in bulk or republish them. CELPIP® is a registered trademark of its owner and is used only to name the test.

11. No guarantees

The service is provided "as is". We work hard to keep rules and numbers accurate and to show our sources, but we do not guarantee that the service is error-free or always available, and we do not guarantee any test score, CRS score, invitation or immigration outcome.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Canadian province in which the operator is based and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights in your province or country.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect purchases you made before the change.
